On January 21, 2022, the Utah House of Representatives voted to pass SJR3, which lifts the city and county mask orders effectively immediately. While we are no longer under a mask mandate, the use of face coverings is strongly recommended and encouraged for Salt Lake City School District employees, students, and visitors while indoors or while riding a school bus. Where possible, we encourage you to use a respirator (such as N95 or KN95) or to double layer a surgical mask under a cloth mask if you do not have access to a respirator. We will continue to have disposable face coverings available for employees, students, and visitors who wish to use one.
